I hope it's a Telugu boy for me: Raashi Khanna
Raashi Khanna is on cloud nine after the success of Tholi Prema, and is now paired opposite Nithiin in her upcoming film Srinivasa Kalyanam. The actress cannot stop talking about the wedding in the film, which releases this Thursday.
An emotional Raashi says that the film emphasises the importance of weddings and rituals. “When I saw the film, I touched the director’s feet. I knew that I was doing a good film, but was overcome with emotions after seeing it,” admits Raashi.
Interestingly, the actress, who hails from North India, says that the film has inspired her to get married. “I come from the North and don’t know about Telugu traditions and weddings, but when I saw the film, I wanted to get married,” she says, adding that in the present day, people want to do everything in a hurry. “Rituals are so important and everyone should know their significance,” says the actress.
This film shows ‘how important marriage is’, says Raashi, who belongs to a Punjabi family. “I am a family person and also very emotional by nature. In the film too, I play a girl who values her family a lot,” says Raashi, who confesses, “I hope and wish that it’s a Telugu boy for me. I have fallen completely in love with Telugu weddings and the rituals.”
