Actor Nikhil is all set to start his next film, based on the Kannada hit film Kirik Party. Though the makers announced that it is not exactly a remake of the Kannada film as they have only borrowed the plot, they have decided to rope in Kannada actresses for the film.
Anil Sunkara is the producer while Sharan Koppisetti is the director of the Telugu version.
According to a source, the makers have finalised Samyukta Hegde, who was in the Kannada version too, as one of the female leads. Rashmika Mandanna also rose to fame with Kannada film.
“Both of them are playing the same roles they played in the original, but the makers have changed the nativity completely to suit the Telugu audience,” says the source. Once they finalise the third female lead, the shoot will begin,” the source informs.
