Post her debut film, Palasa 1978, Nakshatra Trinayani has been getting interesting roles. Her next film, Unstoppable, directed by Diamond Ratnababu, will feature her as a classical dancer.
Talking about the project, Nakshatra says the director saw her performance in her debut film and offered her the role. “I was even more excited when he told me that the role involves classical dance,” she beams, adding that it’s a funky role which includes doing Tik-Tok videos.
The actress was pursuing a post-graduate degree in Kuchipudi dance from Hyderabad’s Central University, but she gave up her studies during her last semester after she got her film role.
Nakshatra is glad that she has shed around 14 kilos from the time she did Palasa 1968. “I feel very confident now and filled with new energy. I had decided not to take up any new films until I get my weight under control. I am glad that things are falling in place,” she says, adding that she has taken up two more films, for which shooting will soon begin.
