Young actor Raj Tarun’s film Andhhagadu, which released last Friday, has done good business. The film was made within a budget of Rs 8 crore, but managed to collect more than Rs 3.75 crore on the first day of release itself. Despite mixed reviews, the film did well over the weekend too and has collected a gross of Rs 11 crore till now, says a source from the film’s unit.
“Generally, weekends are good for film collections, but our film passed the Monday test too,” says Raj Tarun, adding that he is happy with the hat-trick of hits. “I am now planning a tour to promote this film from Thursday onwards,” he says. Interestingly, this is the third time that actress Hebah Patel has been paired opposite Raj Tarun and till now, all their films have been successful. Writer Veligonda Srinivas, who made his debut as director with this film, is no doubt, a happy man.
