Ram Charan training for cop's role

Aravind Swamy is playing the villain, as he did in the original Tamil film.

Ram Charan, who is playing a cop in Dhruva, the remake of the Tamil hit film Thani Oruvan, has been rigorously training for the look. Shooting has already started but they have been canning scenes without Ram Charan. Aravind Swamy is playing the villain, as he did in the original Tamil film.

“Ram Charan is training under a fitness expert for his role…he is also getting riding lessons,” says the press release. He is working on his stamina and physique with strenuous weight training and cycling regimes. The focus is on building a body that’s strong as well as athletic and lean.

The actor already knows how to ride a horse, but he wants to take it to a new level and be able to perform stunts. “Ram Charan has taken time out to train for his next. The training regime is extremely strenuous and challenging but he has always enjoyed exploring and looks forward to the exciting schedule,” adds the press release.
