Director Mahi V. Raghav of Anando Brahma fame is all set to direct a biopic on the late AP chief minister Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy. The film’s first look was released on Saturday and it will go on floors on April 9.
Interestingly, popular Malayalam actor Mammootty will be enacting YSR’s role.
The producers of the film say that there was a time when the late politician walked 1,500 kilometers in 60 days and won people’s heart.
“YSR did many good things for the people and that included free electricity for farmers and fee reimbursement for poor students. There are many other projects that he started to help the poor,” state Vijay Chilla and Sashi Reddy, who produced Anando Brahma as well.
Further, “We are very happy that National Award winner Mammootty is playing YSR’s role. We feel he is perfect for the role and can do full justice to it.” they said.
