HYDERABAD: The Special Investigation Team in collaboration with excise department is all set to file the fourth chargesheet soon in the Tollywood drug case which cropped up last year.
According to sources, the chargesheet against a director and a hero from the list of 12 members is likely to be filed by the department.
The team had collected blood, hair and nail samples from the 12 members and sent them for forensic examination.
Excise Enforcement Director Akun Sabarwal said, “Investigation is a slow and consistent process. As and when we get the reports from forensic department we will take necessary action against people found guilty.”
“As per Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act 1985, we can arrest people if we happen to find drugs on any part of their body, which we have done in this case as well. As and when we get confirmation from the forensic team, we initiate action,” he said.
The excise department had earlier filed three chargesheets and 12 cine actors were served notices last year.
