Manchu Manoj's dual role in next
Manchu Manoj is playing a dual role in his upcoming film Okkadu Migiladu which has a controversial backdrop of the LTTE. He plays the LTTE chief Velupillai Prabhakaran in this period drama, directed by newbie Ajay Andrews Nuthakki.
“The film will parallely have two stories — one of Prabhakaran and the other of a present day college going student, similar to how Rang De Basanti pans out,” says a source. For this role, Manoj put on a lot of weight. Once he heard the story, the actor started working really hard as he believed that this was going to be a challenging film for him. Now that the scenes related to the role of Prabhakaran are complete, the unit is shooting for the contemporary scenes in Hyderabad. Majority of the film was shot in Vizag. Manoj lost nearly 12 kgs for the second role, in which he is going to play a college student.
