Amidst speculation over the female lead for Mahesh Babu’s upcoming film with director Anil Ravipudi, a source confirms that Rashmika Mandanna has been finalised for the part. The film’s shooting is all set to start from June and while the makers wanted to rope in actress Sai Pallavi, it did not go as per plan. “Sai Pallavi is very talented and they wanted to rope her in, but she is into another genre of films, so they dropped the idea,” says a source, adding that Rashmika was then zeroed in on for the role. With a chance to work opposite a superstar like Mahesh Babu in the early days of her career, this will be a golden opportunity for the actress, who became a huge sensation with her earlier film Geetha Govindam.
“The film is a good entertainer and Anil has come up with an exciting script,” adds the source.
