Allu Arjun wants Padma Shri for Allu Aravind

The actor was speaking at the pre-release event of his forthcomnig film, Ala Vaikuntapuram Lo, on Monday.

After Chiranjeevi called for the Dadasaheb Phalke award to be conferred on yesteryear superstar Krishna, it was the turn of Chiranjeevi’s nephew Allu Arjun to make a demand along similar lines — he has asked that his father Allu Aravind, be given the Padma Shri. “He has been in the industry for the past 45 years, and has also produced around 50 films. He is one of the biggest legends of the south Indian film industry. He deserves a Padma Shri,” said Allu Arjun, addressing a gathering.

Thanking his father for all that he had done for him, the actor recalled that his grandfather was a recipient of the prestigious Padma Shri award.

Allu Arjun also expressed his good wishes for all the films to be released around the Sankranti.
Meanwhile, the trailer of Ala Vaikuntapuram Lo was released on Monday. (The trailer of Mahesh’s film, Sarileru Neekevvaru was released at the same time the previous day.)
