The Telugu distributor of Rajinikanth-starrer-Petta is in for anxious moments. Apparently, the Telugu version of Petta has not been able to get a good number of screens in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The distributors of the film, which will release for Sankranti, are now in a fix.
As three big Telugu films are releasing NTR Kathanayakudu starring Balakrishna, Vinaya Vidheya Rama featuring Ram Charan and the multi-starrer F2 – Fun and Frustration featuring Venkatesh and Varun Tej a majority of screens have already been taken.
In view of this, Tollywood trade suggested that Petta be released on January 26, but Sun Pictures went ahead and announced that even the Telugu version would be releasing on Sankranti festival.
The Telugu distributor of Petta is complaining that influential film distributors are not giving him the required theaters to release his films. Looks like he is stuck.
Apart from Tamil and Telugu, Petta is also releasing in Hindi on the same day.
