After his impressive portrayal as a teenage lover boy in Padesave, Karthik Raju will soon be seen as a college-goer in his next film Operation Gold Fish, which is being directed by Saikiran Adivi. In a rare coincidence, Karthik shot campus scenes in the same college from which he completed his engineering degree.
“The film is about how college goers embark on a trip, and that’s when all hell broke loose. And I don’t think many actors will get the opportunity I’ve got — to shoot in the same campus I did my engineering in. It brought back memories of all the funny things I had done as a student,” shares Karthik.
The role is also expected to showcase his witty side.
“There’s a lot of situational comedy that goes with the narrative. I’ve tried to showcase the comic quotient of the character, which I think is the best aspect of my role in the film,” explains Karthik, adding, “It’s an intense and mature role and I’ve had to learn action sequences for the part. The emotional arch in my role takes me to the next level as an actor.”
After this film, Karthik will be seen in a murder mystery directed by Swaraj.
