With young divas Sreeleela, Krithi Shetty, Rashmika breathing down her neck, pretty actress Tamaannah Bhatia has chosen to take up item numbers to keep her stocks soaring. “She just did a racy item number in superstar Rajnikanth’s ‘Jailer’ and the song ‘Kaavaala’ is already trending. Doing a special song with a big star helps her to retain her top-league slot and also be in the race. She did item numbers with NTR Jr and Allu Arjun and others as well,” a source.
With most Telugu stars unwilling to repeat actresses, 30-plus star Tamannaah is having a tough time. “She can’t do movies with relatively young heroes since it could dent her ratings. On the other hand, big stars like Ram Charan, Allu Arjun, Mahesh Babu and NTR Jr are not interested in repeating her. Hence, she is caught in a dilemma,” he adds.
On the work front, she is awaiting the release of ‘Bholaa Shankar’ opposite Chiranjeevi after tasting success with Venkatesh in ‘F2’ and F3’. “She is waiting for a meaty role opposite Nagarjuna and other heroes with whom she hasn’t worked before,” he adds.
Meanwhile, she was in the news for her steamy scenes in Hindi web series like ‘Lust Stories 2’ and ‘Jee Karda’ and showcased an unknown side of her. “She avoided bold stuff in Telugu and Tamil movies. But to cater to the digital audience, she didn’t mind indulging in lip locks and bedroom stuff,” he concludes.
After Kaajal, Tammanah is another diva who is hoping for some big movies or she would be forced to take up female-centric movies.
