Balakrishna from NTR biopic
The shooting of NTR, the biopic of the late N.T. Rama Rao finally took off on Thursday at a private studio. A big set was erected for the opening scene, which happened to be NTR’s debut film scene, where he played an inspector in Mana Desam.
Actor Balakrishna stepped into his father’s character while Jissu Sengupta played the role of L.V. Prasad. “The unit invited L.V. Prasad’s son Ramesh Prasad for the first day of the shoot,” says a source.
Significantly, it was Prasad who introduced NTR to the film industry with Mana Desam, after which the actor never looked back. Director Krish thus decided to start his biopic with a scene from the same movie. Vidya Balan is likely to join the unit after a few days.
