After having featured in a few films, Rahul, son of renowned stunt director Vijay, has turned to writing. The Ee Maaya Peremito actor says he has been utilising the lockdown time in penning stories.
So is he writing a story for his own film, we ask. “I used to write poetry earlier, and I have been working on scripts last year,” he replies. “It is premature to say whether this script will be for my own film. But I am enjoying this creative process; it’ll complement my acting skills,” adds Rahul, who will be seen as a techie in his upcoming film, Panchathantram.
Rahul plays a guy, Subhash, who wants to get married, but doesn’t know whom to marry. “He ends up marrying under parental pressure. What kind of wife he gets, and what he goes through has been narrated realistically,” the actor says.
For someone who is vocal and active, playing a settled and subdued role was difficult. “My role in this film is very calm, but in real life I am hyper, so I had to unlearn several things for the part. I realised that unlearning is so challenging,” he shares about the Harsha Pulipaka directorial.
Revealing that he does discuss scripts with his father, the actor says, “He’s been a pillar of support to me, and if I come across any exciting script, I do bring it to his notice.”...
