Allu Sirish is excited to be hosting two award shows this season. While he takes stage with Lakshmi Manchu and Ali for SIIMA, the latest is that he and Vijay Devarakonda will be hosting Filmfare together.
And the actor shares that he has begun prepping for the first of the two events, which takes place soon. “I like rehearsing a lot as I feel hosting is no easy job! You need good humour and have to be witty. I am watching international award shows like the Oscars to observe the way a host functions, mainly because Filmfare requires me to talk in English throughout,” he shares.
Sirish isn’t new to hosting though, having already taken stage at a couple of award shows last year. “I have never been in theatre and so, being on the stage compensates for that a bit. It’s partly scripted and partly impromptu. It’s fun,” he says.
