For the first time in his nearly three decade long career, actor Venkatesh has sung a song. In his upcoming film, Guru, a remake of the Hindi film Saala Khadoos, the actor has sung a track Jingidi, and a video on the making of the song was released on Monday. Venky has sure made a smashing debut as a singer in the song composed by Santosh Narayanan.
Initially, the actor was hesitant to sing. “I have been acting for 30 years, and I wondered if I should sing. But these guys had a wonderful tune and I thought why not,” shares the actor. “I liked the song so much, and with the hope that the audience would forgive mistakes, I went ahead and did it. I had great fun shooting for the song too,” he adds.
The song also features Nasser. Sudha Kongara Prasad has directed the film, which is slated for an April release.
