Anushka Shetty, who made her debut nearly 12 years ago with Super, looks like a dream and speaks Telugu equally well. While many non-Telugu actresses are working hard to lend their own voice to characters, Anushka never does the same, surprisingly.
When asked why, the actress says, “My voice is sweet and it’s like a child’s voice. It won’t suit my characters, which are mostly loud. If you look at the roles I’ve played recently, even Bhaagamathie, they need heavy voices. My dialogues have also been quite full of anger. So if I lend my voice to them, it will spoil the role. So I’ve never tried it.” Anushka further reveals that it’s usually the collective decision of the film team.
The actress is at present touring the state of Andhra Pradesh to promote her latest release, Bhaagamathie. The thriller is already a big hit and has collected nearly Rs 30 crore, displaying Anushka’s single-handed box-office prowess.
