We had reported earlier that director Maruthi is all set to launch producer D.V.V. Danayya’s son. It was also reported that the producer was willing to pay Maruthi six crore as remuneration. But things have changed after the director’s latest film Prathi Roju Pandage became a blockbuster.
According to a source close to the development, Maruthi has stepped out of this project as he doesn’t want to do a film with a debutant. The source also revealed that Danayya roped in director Sriwass for his son’s launch film.
“Sriwass has almost agreed to do this project as he doesn’t have any other project right now,” says the source. Remuneration was the reason for Maruthi’s stepping out of the project, according to the source.
“After the huge success of his recent film, Maruthi demanded a hike, which Danayya declined to give. Also, Maruthi didn’t want to do a small film after delivering a great success”, the source added.
