Meghana Lokesh, a well known face on television with the serials Sasirekha Parinayam and Kalyana Vaibhogame, is all excited about her debut film, Idhi Maa Prema Katha, releasing this week. The actress is paired opposite popular anchor Ravi in the film.
“Director Karthik saw my serials and thought that I would be perfect for the role of Sandhya in the film. He approached me and I like the script,” says Meghana, who hails from Mysuru and worked in a theatre group called Natana from her childhood.
“My first play was when I was eight years old and then I performed nearly 270 shows till my degree,” she recalls. She adds that Mandya Ramesh is her guru as he started the theatre group.
Meghana shares that her mother is a professor and brother an engineer and that she is the only one from her family who is into films. “No one in my family has a film background. Because of my theatre work and shows, I got this opportunity to act in serials and now a film.”
