Suriya was in Hyderabad on Sunday to promote his upcoming film Singam 3. The actor says that the police character Narasimha is more powerful than the earlier two films. “Director Hari wanted to take the commissioner Narasimha’s character to the next level, so he came up with a more powerful script than the earlier two films,” says Suriya about the third sequel of the Singam series. He added that Hari came up with a military backdrop, but finally decided on this sequel.
“Singam 3 is inspired by some real life incidents that happened during the time of late N.T. Rama Rao and M.G. Rama Chandran, when they served as Chief Ministers of their states respectively,” says Suriya. He added that most of the shooting was done in Visakhapatnam but has a Mangalore backdrop. “In this series, Shruti Haasan was added while Anushka is there in all the three films,” says Suriya adding, “I tried to give my best in this third one. When I did the first film, I never thought that I would do a second one, and now I am doing the third one. The credit goes to the director for his powerful scripts.”
