In a major surprise, Karthikeya is all set to float his new production house, with his maiden Telugu film titled Aakasavani, which is a period drama.
Now this is indeed interesting! So far, people know ace director S.S. Rajamouli’s son Karthikeya as someone who has assisted with direction on various films. But he has surprised everyone by setting up his own production house and turning producer.
Not only does Karthikeya have a great sense of script writing and the other creative aspects of filmmaking, but he also is also adept at handling production. And apparently, this trait of his has prompted him to venture into production.
Although the cast hasn’t been confirmed, the title of the film is reportedly registered as Aakasavani.
A source says, “Quite a few times, Karthikeya had evinced interest to be a producer rather than take up the directorial mantle like his father. And Rajamouli is someone who always likes to encourage the interests of his son. When Karthikeya eventually came up with the idea of starting a new production house, the Baahubali director welcomed it.”
Ashwin Gangaraju, who has worked with Rajamouli as an assistant director and associate script writer on projects like Baahubali and Eega, will be making his directorial debut now with Karthikeya’s period film.
