Well known actor Sarathkumar’s daughter, Varalakshmi, is all set to make her Tollywood debut with a trilingual women centric film directed by debutant Priyadaarshini. Titled Shakthi, the Tamil-Telugu-Malayalam film’s first look was unveiled by Rana Daggubati on social media recently.
“With multlingual films having become a thing of the day, Varalakshmi felt it was high time she took a plunge into Telugu films. She has done films in all other South Indian languages, but hasn’t tried her hands at Tollywood,” shares a source adding, “The film will be an intense drama focussing on everyday issues faced by women. It’s a story that women of any state would connect to.”
The film also marks the debut of the actress’ sister, Pooja Sarathkumar, as a stylist.
