It’s common knowledge that Rashmika Mandanna will play the love interest of Allu Arjun in his upcoming film, Pushpa, directed by Sukumar. But now we learn that they play a rustic married couple. Rashmika will play the role of a homemaker while Allu Arjun will be seen as a red sanders smuggler.
The first part of Pushpa will explore Allu Arjun’s exploits in the illegal trade, while the second part justifies his actions. The story is set in Chittoor village in Rayalaseema region. Both Allu Arjun and Rashmika have mastered Rayalaseema slang. Their clothes and body language too will reflect the culture of the region.
Meanwhile, Allu Arjun to hear final narration of Icon
Looks like Allu Arjun is wasting no time in pursuing his projects. While the actor is currently shooting for Pushpa: Part 1, he will be given the final narration of another film, Icon, by filmmaker Srriam Venu this week.
Soon after completing Pushpa 1, the actor wants to commence shooting for Icon and wrap it up before he starts working on Pushpa 2. But he will take the final call only after the narration of the Icon script, on whether to take up Icon first or move straight on to Pushpa 2. The Ala Vaikuntapuram Lo star is expected to wrap up the first part of Pushpa by September.
