Nagarjuna is 60 going on 30
Actor Nagarjuna seems pretty confident that his upcoming film Manmadhudu 2 will be a big success. Speaking at the pre-release event of the film, the senior actor mentioned that his elder son (Naga Chaitanya) had tasted success with Majili in the summer.
“Then my daughter-in-law found success with Oh! Baby but now, I will surpass both those films,” said a confident Nag. While he completes 60 years on August 29, the actor says that he doesn’t like to talk about his age. “I am turning only 30 this month end,” says the actor in a lighter vein, adding, “Many people say that it is not right to do a romantic film at this age. But this film shows that there is no age limit for romance, love or even kissing.”
Interestingly, the first part — Manmadhudu, directed by Vijay Bhaskar, was released 17 years ago. “The caption for that film was He hates women, so I wanted to come full circle, which is why I made Manmadhudu 2 with the caption, He loves women,” says Nag, who is full of praise for his co-star Rakul Preet Singh.
“It is easy to work with Rakul. She is so talented, hard working and a wonderful human being too. I learnt a lot from her about health and I am so thankful that she was in my film,” says the actor, adding, “Many have told me that I am looking the best in this film,” playfully adding, “Both Chaitanya and Akhil are not my sons, they are my brothers.”
