After unsuccessfully experimenting with different kinds of films, Gopichand is going back to what he’s good at — action. The actor, who hasn’t had a hit since Loukyam, has his hopes pinned on the upcoming film Pantham.
The teaser of the film was released on Tuesday, and it seems to have shades of a political satire. “If you vote a party when they promise you a free house, free current, waiver of loans and Rs 5000 for a vote, how can you expect a society without corruption?” Gopichand asks in the teaser.
The film has been directed by debutant Chakravarthy. Given that it is his 25th, the actor hopes that it will be a landmark one. “The actor and the director had extensive discussions about the film before beginning shooting. Now, both of them are satisfied with the output. The actor is confident that the film will be a success,” says a source close to the actor.
Pantham has been produced by K. Raghamohan of Bengal Tiger fame. It is set to be released on July 5.
