Actress Gayathiri Iyer, who is currently shooting for a Balaji Telefilms web series, is looking forward to the release of her Telugu film Desamudurs.
Talking about the horror-comedy, she says, “I play a girl who comes to visit her parents after finishing college. The house is haunted by a ghost, and the film is about the events that transpire there. Although there is a romantic angle, and I have been paired opposite Vivek Teja, the comic quotient is more prominent.”
The actress says that getting her comic timing right was not the easiest thing. “This is the first time I am doing a comedy film. Actors like Posani Krishna Murali and Privthi garu aced their comic timing, but I found it a bit tough. I realised that comedy is the toughest thing to pull off,” she says.
Although the actress is trained in taekwondo, the action sequences in the film were not a piece of cake for her.
“The ghost beats me up and I am all over the place; I’m dragged on the floor, I’m flying — everything. So I had to exhibit great endurance throughout, and that was very tough,” she says.
