We recently discovered that actor Mohan Babu was approached with offers to act in two good films which he turned down and consequently, Prakash Raj landed both the roles.
According to a source in the know, Mohan Babu was first approached for director Satish Vegnesna’s Sathamanam Bhavathi, which he did not take up because he was busy with another project at the time. The filmmakers eventually roped in Prakash Raj to act in the film which went on to win a National Award.
Later, Mohan Babu was approached with a role in Mani Ratnam’s Nawab, which, despite him being the director’s first choice, he turned down. In this one as well, the makers eventually roped in Prakash Raj. The film fared quite well at the box office and was appreciated by everyone. “The actor was even offered high remunerations for both the projects,” the source added.
Interestingly, actress Jayasudha played the female lead roles opposite Prakash Raj in both the movies and her work in them both received a fair amount of appreciation.
This information has been revealed by a close associate of the actor, who also said that the actor had rejected many other films.
