Actor-turned-politician Nandamuri Balakrishna, who represents the Hindupur constituency, announced that the biopic on his father, the late NTR, is going to start from March 29.
Speaking at the Assembly session on Monday, the actor announced, “The shooting will start from March 29 and although many people suggested different names, we finally decided on NTR.”
He added that the film is not meant to target the coming elections. “We are not making the film with an eye on the elections. We are planning to release it during the next Sankranti festival,” he revealed.
The actor further said that the film launch would be held at Ramakrishna Film Studios which the late NTR built, with many bigwigs from the film fraternity and other fields in attendance. He also added that the Lepakshi celebrations would be held on March 31 and April 1 at Lepakshi. Balakrishna, who recently underwent a shoulder surgery to his right hand, was seen with a bandage.
