When producer Cherry heard the script of Mathu Vadalara for the first time, he felt that the film had the potential to be a box office winner. Despite no star cast and a shoestring budget, he strongly believed that the content would emerge winner. “Today, I stand vindicated because the film has proved once again that content is king,” he says, adding that what worked in the film’s favour apart from the gripping content was the interspersed humour.
“The way director Ritesh Rana wrote the screenplay was novel. Actor Sri Simha gave his best and performed like a seasoned campaigner. The film’s success proved what collective effort can do,” asserts Cherry.
