Rhea Chakraborty has been taking rapid strides in Bollywood lately. The Half-Girlfriend actress, who is trying to create her own niche by picking up break-through roles, has reportedly been approached for the role of leading lady in Kalyaan Dhev’s (Chiranjeevi’s son-in-law) upcoming romantic entertainer.
Impressed by her role in the recently released film Jalebi, director Puli Vasu felt that she would be the ideal choice for the female lead in his film. He gave her the script narration and the former VJ seems to be quite excited with her role and the script.

A source close to the unit says, “Rhea Chakraborty was approached for the part and she was all-kicked to come on board. She believed this project had something different to offer, and would be an ideal script for her to make a mark in the South, after making her debut with Tuneega Tuneega in Telugu.”
While the remaining modalities are being worked out, the director is completing all the pre-production work. To be produced by Rizwan Entertainment, the film will go on floors soon.
