Actor Mahesh Babu’s entry into the multiplex business seems to have paved the way for other stars to try their hands at this segment. Film sources insist that the next big ticket actor who is due to enter the multiplex business will be Allu Arjun.

The actor is believed to be in talks with the Narang family to convert Satyam theatre at Ameerpet circle into a vibrant multiplex, which is being helmed by Sunil Narang of Asian Cinemas.

Sources said Allu Arjun wants the Satyam multiplex to be built on the same scale as Mahesh Babu’s project, AMB, which was launched a couple of days ago.
Like their counterparts in other film industries such as Bollywood and Mollywood, some Tollywood actors are now supplementing and hedging their film careers with other ventures including film production and the food and hospitality sectors.

Allu Arjun’s father (Allu Arvind), incidentally, is a top producer in the Telugu film industry and owns several single screen theatres in both the Telugu states.
