Veteran actress and ex-wife of filmmaker Priyadarshan, Lissy Lakshmi, who did several Malayalam as well as Tamil and Telugu movies in her prime, is staging her comeback into films. What’s interesting is that the actress who quit cinema at the age of 22, is returning after almost 25 years, and that too with a Telugu film.
It has been confirmed that she will be playing a key role in Nithiin and Megha Akash’s upcoming film with debutant director Krishna Chaitanya that is to be jointly bankrolled by Pawan Kalyan and Trivikram Srinivas.
“After so many years of absence I faced the camera for the first time in New York. It was a nervous yet thrilling moment. I must say I had missed it!!! (sic),” Lissy posted on social media. Interestingly, at almost the same time, Lissy’s daughter Kalyani is making her debut in Tollywood with Akhil Akkineni’s Hello.
