Saahith Mothkuri has come up with a film based on a Telangana village. Titled Bandham Regad, it is an independent film made under a budget of Rs 15 lakh. “We are planning to release the film on YouTube and have made it with high technical values on par with a feature film,” says Nishank Reddy, the film’s producer. Interestingly, colorist Shiva Kumar, who worked for the Baahubali franchise, has given his magical touch to this film as well.
Talking about the title of the film, Nishak says that it is the name of a village on which the film has been made. “There is a village named Bandham Regad in Adilabad district, 20 kilometres from Nirmal. We also shot the film there,” he says.Notably, the film’s trailer has crossed 2 million views in just five days. “It’s an overwhelming response!” comments Nishak, revealing that the film was completed in just six days.
