Rare honour for C V Reddy

Senior director and producer C.V. Reddy, who is known for his wide range of works in Telugu, Kannada and Tamil cinema, has been appointed as chairman of the Oscar India Jury this year. So far, many film personalities hailing from North India have had the opportunity to take on the role. However, this is the first time a member of the Telugu film fraternity has been appointed for the job.

C.V. Reddy earlier served as a jury member for National Awards, alongside being on the panel for several International film award ceremonies too. He will be watching all the film entries from India and will select a suitable film to be sent as the country’s entry in the Foreign Language category, with the help of a jury that will be assisting him.
