iSmart Shankar, starring Ram Pothineni and directed by Puri Jagannadh released its trailers recently, which are very impressive. The plot of the film, which reveals a new look for Ram, revolves around a hero who has a mobile SIM card inserted into his head.
It is widely believed that director Puri got the idea from a Korean film, iBoy, which was directed by Adam Randall. Adam’s thriller, based on Kevin Brooks’ book by the same name, also revolves around a protagonist who is implanted with a mobile chip in his brain. However, it is not yet clear whether the Telugu moviemakers have bought the rights of the Korean film or if they have just done a ‘free-make’ of the film.
