After the success of his debut outing, Needi Naadi Oke Katha, a film about the relationship between a father and a son, director Venu Udugula has decided to try his hand at a different genre. His next project is a love story.
“The film is a love story set against the political backdrop of the ’90s. Although the plot has a strong romantic angle, it also has commercial ingredients with elements of politics and action,” he says.
The director, who is extremely upbeat about the film, is yet to finalise the cast. “I am still writing the script. It will take me a couple of months to wrap it up. It is too early to talk about the protagonist and the leading lady now. Once the script is ready, I shall pitch the project to an appropriate actor,” he says.
The film will be produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri, who is currently bankrolling the Sharwanand-strrer Padi Padi Leche Manasu....
