After winning brownie points for her portrayal in her Tamil film Tenaliraman, Meenakshi Dixit is set to star in a high-on-comedy film Takkar, directed by Barani Jaypal. Talking about her role, Meenakshi says, “I play an independent Muslim girl hailing from an orthodox family. Amidst comedy of errors, the drama unfolds as I get kidnapped by a group.”
Meenakshi, who has been missing from the Telugu screens for a while, explains, “I am not getting anything substantial in Telugu, and Kollywood is offering me interesting roles.” Her forthcoming Hindi film Lupt, a horror comedy, directed by Prabhuraj, is a cherry on top for the actress.
