Sundeep's controversial film title

The first line of the title was taken from the Indian Pledge.

The title of Sundeep Kishan’s upcoming film landed in a big controversy. The title says, ‘All Indians are my brothers and sisters Okka Ammayi Thappa.’ And how did Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce (TFCC) clear the title is something to ponder about. The first line of the title was taken from the Indian Pledge.

The secretary of TFCC, Damodara Prasad, said that he didn’t approve the tagline and only approved the title. He said, “Actually they came with three to five title designs for the publicity clearance and in all the designs they came up with only one title Okka Ammayi Thappa and there was no tagline. It’s a clear title so, we approved it.”

The regional Censor Board Officer, Vijaykumar Reddy, said that the posters do not come under his jurisdiction. “Generally the publicity posters don’t come under our control, and the film’s censor certificate has not been given yet. So, I will definitely look into the matter and I will also speak with the producer,” says Vijaykumar.
