Most of the top stars of Tollywood are set to gather in Vizag on April 8 for the TSR film awards, given by T. Subbarami Reddy. The star attraction is going to be Megastar Chiranjeevi, who confirmed his presence and also agreed to give away the awards. Hindi film stars such as Hema Malini, Shatrughan Sinha, Madhuri Dixit, Jackie Shroff and others are also expected at this glittering do, which will be held in Port Stadium, Visakhapatnam.
Apart from Chiranjeevi, several stars from the Telugu film industry including Krishnam Raju, Mohan Babu, Balakrishna, Nagarjuna, Venkatesh, Mahesh Babu, Ram Charan, Allu Arjun and many other young actors will be participating in this event.
“This is one of the biggest film functions in recent times,” says TSR. “Generally all the film functions are held in auditoriums or closed door halls, but this is the first time I decided to have the event in an open . We are expecting nearly 50,000 people,” says Subbarami Reddy, adding that the function is free for all.
Unlike other film award functions, TSR is organising the event on his own, without sponsors. “The nine-member jury has decided the winners and the process is not commercial,” says TSR, who started the T. Subbarami Reddy Cultural Foundation that gives out the film awards. Actors from the Tamil and Kannada film industries will also be at the event. “Nearly 60 stars are attending from all the industries,” confirms TSR.
Apart from the awards, there will also be performances by Mannara Chopra, Hamsa Nandini, Sridevi (Manjula’s daughter), Archana, Gowri Munjal and Ali....
