While we have witnessed several pageant winners making their way into Tollywood, Mohini is the latest addition to this list. The former Miss Teen India and Miss India Face of Beauty International will be seen as the female lead in a forthcoming Telugu film, Love 20-20, directed by V.S. Senthil.
Sharing more details, Mohini says, “I was born in Delhi and then moved to Canada when I was a kid. After studies, I got an opportunity from a Mumbai-based modelling agency in 2012. I took up the opportunity and started modelling. And ever since, I won various pageant titles. My true calling came when I got the opportunity to act in films. So from pageant to modelling to films, it all looked like a natural progression.”
Mohini adds that she always wanted to be an entertainer. “One of the producers of the film, Mohan Vadlapatla, has known me for a while. He asked me whether I would be interested in venturing into the film industry. After the script narration, I was called for an audition followed by a look test, and I was on board,” she reveals, adding that the experience of working for the film has been amazing.
“I play Maya, a girl who is compassionate and at times quirky too. I guess every girl can connect to the role,” Mohini concludes.
