Trust actor Rajasekhar to get into the skin of the character he plays. For his forthcoming film, Kalki, directed by Prasanth Varma, the actor has shot a seven minture action episode in a single take. His commitment and approach to the character has been lauded by the unit members.
Talking about the action sequence, Prasanth shares, “It is a seven-minute action episode that involves chasing, jumping walls, shooting, etc. We wanted to shoot it in a single take so that it turns out to be one of the highlights in the film. And I told this to Rajasekhar garu, he was all kicked.”
Apparently, Rajasekhar shot for the entire seven minutes in a single take. “He did the entire stunt on his own without a body double. The costumes and the amour he was sporting was also heavy, but he still managed to pull it off. It is a rare phenomenon to pull off a scene of such high magnitude. His approach to acting is absolutely clinical; he is very inquisitive and wants to know the nuances of film making.”
Prasanth further adds that the film has six action scenes in total and the episodes were shot in different styles in Kulu Manali, Kerala and Mumbai. “All these stylish fights will only reflect the kind of attitude Rajasekhar garu wears.”
