Rana Daggubati has been busy working on several projects in multiple languages, but that has not stopped him from taking up more films. The latest is that the strapping actor has apparently green-lit another project in Telugu. The film is said to be a love story set against the ’90s political backdrop, and will be directed by Udugula Venu of Needi Naadi Oke Katha fame.
Even though Rana has earlier starred in a couple of films with a political background, he feels Venu’s story is a complete contrast and will be high on emotional quotient. The actor was euphoric after listening to Venu’s story, and the way the director has etched out his character.
A source informs, “Rana heard the narration and was completely convinced with the emotional content in the script. He quickly agreed to come on board.”
Sai Pallavi will play the leading lady opposite Rana. The big-budget film will be jointly bankrolled by Suresh Babu (Rana’s father) and Cherukuri Sudhakar.
