Saptagiri, one of the busiest comedians in Tollywood, has now turned into a lead actor with his upcoming Saptagiri Express, directed by newcomer Arun Pawar. The film’s first look was released on Sunday. Saptagiri seemed very confident about the film. “I feel I have acted well in this film,” says Saptagiri, adding that his health has been giving some trouble, after he got busy post Prema Katha Chitram.
“After that film, I worked day and night, so much so that I had severe indigestion and acidity affecting my health. Though I am active physically, I have suffered a lot of pain and have had burning sensation. I hate myself for this health issue. I felt very low during those times,” confesses the actor. He added that he had tried all sorts of medicines, but in vain, till he met Dr Ravi Kiran.
“Not only was my problem sorted, but at the same time, he also enquired about my film and came forward to produce it,” says Saptagiri, explaining how the movie landed in his kitty. The actor had liked the Tamil film Thirudan Police and had bought the remake rights. “I worked earlier as assistant director, so with that experience, I worked on the script on my own,” he admits. He added that he made a lot of changes to the script to suit the Telugu audience.
