Aishwarya Rajesh to play a wrestler
Mismatch will see Aishwarya Rajesh in the role of a wrestler. It is also going to be the film where the popular producer G.V.G. Raju introduces his sons as producers too.
“Producer G.V.G Raju is a very close friend of my family. My mother and his sister are very good friends, so his sister Vijaya Lakshmi asked me to do this film” says Aishwarya, who, incidentally, hadn’t had dates given the number of Tamil films she’d signed on. The actress, nevertheless, went through the script for Mismatch and liked her role in it. “I am choosy about my films. Even in my debut film, I played a slum mother with two kids, and it got critical acclaim. Most of the films and roles I choose are different, and so is this,” says Aishwarya.
Learning and letting go
To play a wrestler, however, Aishwarya needed to learn wrestling, so she requested her producer that she took lessons in the sport. Aishwarya had previously taken cricket lessons for six months for her role in the cricket-based sports drama Kousalya Krishnamurthy, which was simultaneously made in Telugu and Tamil. As regarding Mismatch, Aishwarya is already in praise for its director, Nirmal Kumar. “Initially, I was a bit scared about how the director would shape it because the script is very nice. But after seeing a few scenes, I realise he does a brilliant job and I have a lot of confidence in his abilities,” says Aishwarya.
Mismatch will also see the remix of the popular song Ee manase from the Pawan Kalyan-starrer Toli Prema. “Vijay choreographed the dance sequence, and we did two days’ rehearsals for this song and the shoot for the song was completed in a single take. It has come out very nicely,” she adds, signing off.
