Aadhi hits Bullseye
Dubbed films don’t work often. But when they do, it surprises everyone. For instance, Marakathamani, that has become a highly profitable venture for buyers in the Telugu states. Apparently, the film has collected double the amount invested on it! The popularity of the film’s lead actor, Aadhi Pinisetty, post Sarrainodu, and the series of his upcoming films like Rangasthalam and Ninnu Kori, could be reasons for the great run.
Having released on June 16, a week ahead of Allu Arjun’s Duvvada Jagannadham, the film’s dubbing rights were sold for Rs 50 lakh, with nearly Rs 15 lakh being spent on dubbing and promotions. The film has gone on to collect nearly Rs 1.3 crore share in its full run. The buyer also benefitted from the good price received for the satellite rights of the Telugu version of the film, that also stars Nikki Galrani.
