I’ve been lucky, says Adivi sesh

The film, originally slated for an Independence Day release, will now be out on August 23.

Not much is known about Telugu star-actor Adivi Sesh’s next release Evaru. But the actor is certain that the secrecy surrounding the film will work to its advantage. “It is a suspense film with a murder in it. But I cannot reveal anything else at this point, other than the fact that it is a film like no other in Telugu cinema,” says Adivi Sesh, who has always seen himself as a bit of a game-changer.

“There’s no point in doing it if it's already been done,” says Adivi, who adds, “In that sense, I’ve been lucky. My films, though not quite the conventional fare in Telugu cinema, have done well, whether it was Kshanam, Oopiri or Goodachari. For Evaru too, I was able to surrender completely to director Venkat Ramji’s vision. I had the luxury of being only an actor on the sets, and am hoping that the audience likes Evaru as much as Goodachari.”

The film, originally slated for an Independence Day release, will now be out on August 23. “That date seems to be the best option as we didn’t want Evaru to clash with my dear friend Sujeeth’s Saaho. As it is, there are too many expectations riding on Saaho, given that this is Prabhas’ next film after Baahubali. I certainly don’t want to add to the tension,” says Adivi Sesh, who is clearly excited about his next film too.

“Major will be my first Hindi release, which is a step into uncharted waters.
