Gopichand is not your normal actor, who inaugurates retail stores and uploads photos of his day-to-day life on social media when he’s not working. He says once he wraps up a shoot, he heads back home.
“I am reserved and private,” he says, but clarifies, “I am not shy.” Once he’s done with work he wants to be in his own space, he says, and quickly adds, “Just because I am not spotted outside doesn’t mean that I don’t party. I have my own set of friends and they are always there for me (smiles).”
Gopichand, who says he wants his work to do the talking, reveals that his next film Ramabanam is a family drama on sibling conflicts. “I play a businessman. It’s the story of two brothers with the same goal, but different ways of achieving it. No two people are alike. Even brothers can be different. We have tried to showcase the bonding of brothers and how differences can be handled,” says Gopichand about the Sriwass directorial.
In his over two decade-long journey, the actor says he has done several films of various genres. However, he says that he’s still learning his craft.
“That’s because we as actors continue to look for different roles. When you are introduced to a new genre or untouched subject the learning begins again,” says Gopichand.
