Where is Varun Sandesh? What is he doing? Is he still doing films? Is he in India?” You’ll find all the answers in the two-minute promo of the actor’s upcoming film, Induvadana.
Varun himself tells us that he has been in the US, but comes to India whenever he gets an interesting script. “I am doing a film, Induvadana, as a lead actor after five years; I have almost wrapped up the film’s shooting,” he says, adding that he is currently in Hyderabad listening to scripts and trying to beat the pandemic stress.
The actor reveals that the pandemic struck just as he was readying to come to India from the US last year. “I was trying to figure out a few businesses there in the US. In fact, I am still trying to figure out what to do in life. But having said that, I believe my heart and soul lies in films,” the actor shares.
Varun entered the industry in 2007 with Happy Days, and he says that for the last 14 years, his life has been all about films. “At the end of the day, it’s all about movies because I grew up watching films,” he says.
The actor, who will turn 32 in July was last seen in Telugu Bigg Boss Season 3 (2019) along with his actress-wife Vithika Sheru. He says that the reality show gave him the opportunity to showcase himself to the world.
“Ups and downs are part of anyone’s life, and I never got carried away with success,” says the actor. “Even during my lows, I remained the same, and my family kept me grounded,” he reveals, adding that his family was always a pillar of support for him.
Coming back to films, Varun says he signed Induvadana because he felt that the script shows him in a new dimension. “The film is a rustic drama; a love story about how a girl, Indu, (played by Farnaz Shetty) falls in love with a guy (Vasu) who belongs to another community. The film, bankrolled by Madhavi Aadurthi touches caste aspects grippingly,” he says, adding that he’s elated that the first look poster of the film has been getting rave reviews.
Talking about his role in the MSR directorial, Varun says he plays a forest officer, Vasu, in the period drama. “I went for a complete makeover for my look in the film. I had to prepare a lot during the film’s making. In fact, I took almost one-and-a-half hours to get my moustaches in shape; I also ensured that my wardrobe reflects the period setting,” he shares....
