Post Majili, Chai’s rating soars
The overwhelming success of Majili has come as a huge relief to Naga Chaitanya, whose past couple of films didn’t do very well at the box-office. So far, the film has collected a producers’ share of Rs 38.52 crore — making it Naga Chaitanya’s highest grossing film so far — and is expected to cross the Rs 40 crore mark in the coming days. A pat on the back to Shiva Nirvana for the commendable script that he wrote for the film.
The success of Majili has certainly augmented Naga Chaitanya’s image among his audiences. His next film is a multi-starrer wherein he will be seen sharing screen space with his uncle, Venkatesh. Barring this one film, Chaitanya has made no other official announcements. However, a few directors are apparently looking forward to presenting their scripts to the actor. “Chaitanya is currently looking for variety and therefore, wants to give a fair chance to debutant directors,” said a source.
